This is a 12
-month fixed term role based in Wellington.In this role, you will undertake the statutory duties and responsibilities of a designated Medical Officer of Health including participating in an on-call roster.You will work in partnership with colleagues in Te Ikaroa National Public Health Service to share responsibility for the professional quality of public health work.

- Extensive clinical experience and expertise in public health medicine, with appropriate tertiary level professional qualificationHold a registered medical practitioner current Annual Practising Certificate and vocational registration as a specialist medical practitioner in a relevant speciality (FNZCPHM, FAFPHM) or similarAlready designated as a Medical Officer of Health in New ZealandExperience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in actionProven knowledge of equity models and practice in professional fieldUnderstanding of the New Zealand health sectorCurrent full driver's licenceWorking for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
