About the role | Mō te tūnga:We are seeking a Regional Public Service Senior Advisor (ROCC Portfolio) to support the Porirua ROCC Leadership Group with the ongoing development and implementation of Resilience to Organised Crime in Communities (ROCC) across Porirua.

What you'll be doing | Ko te mahi:This role will focus on one of our key regional priorities: strengthening Resilience to Organised Crime in Communities (ROCC) in Porirua.

ROCC is a Cabinet-mandated initiative designed to address the harms and social drivers of organised crime.
It combines social and economic support with targeted enforcement, recognising that organised crime creates significant barriers to community wellbeing.
Using a holistic approach, ROCC builds local support networks and aligns social and health responses with enforcement activity to ensure a coordinated, long-term prevention focus.You'll work closely with NZ Police and mana whenua who work in partnership to lead this kaupapa, and collaborate with a wide range of external agencies to ensure ROCC is well-connected to communities and committed to system change.Key responsibilities include:Providing capability support to the Porirua community as they develop ROCC initiatives.Supporting both existing and emerging ROCC initiatives.Supporting community providers who have received funding to deliver to ROCC cohortsWorking collaboratively within integrated working groups including government agencies and community leaders.Partnering with support agencies to help collect and share relevant data.Providing secretariat support for the ROCC working group, ROCC leadership group and other ROCC initiative groups.Reporting to the Regional Public Service Director and supporting the Regional Public service team by leading the ROCC portfolio.Supporting connection and alignment of ROCC with other priorities and strategies across Porirua What you bring | Ōu pūmanawatanga:Experience and skills required:Experience working with governance groups i.e providing secretariat dutiesExperience providing advice and support to Senior LeadersUnderstanding of Machinery of Government and public service experienceAbility to write papers for Senior leaders and variety of stakeholdersContract management experienceVery strong relationship management skills and communication skillsExperience working with community, Iwi, Pacific leadersAbility to influence and innovate in work programmes leading the wayExperience and confidence with public speaking and presentingUnderstanding of the social and justice sectorAbility to work to tight deadlines and manage time well Position Description | He Whakaahuatanga Tūnga:http://www.msd.govt.nz/hr/documents/position-descriptions/dce-service-delivery/regional-service-delivery/senior-advisor-regional-public-service.docxSalary | Utu-ā-tau: $118,288.00
