Bar Manager - Christchurch

The award-winning team that brought you King of Snake & ROCA is opening a brand new French restaurant on Level 1 of Oxford Terrace - opening at the beginning of September.

We are seeking an experienced Bar Manager to be part of the initial HUGO team.

As a Bar Manager at HUGO, you will:

• Provide an excellent level of customer service
• Manage stock - being responsible for ordering, maintaining adequate stock levels, adhering to business KPI's
• Serve customers - being responsible for engaging with our valued guests & team in a positive & professional way.
• Support the General Manager with the day-to-day operational management of the business - including business KPI's, staff training & development, quality control, managing functions & events, and general business oversight.
• Train bar staff to the skill level required
• Create excellent cocktails & have outstanding general beverage knowledge
• This role will require someone with the skills to manage the restaurant independently, in the General Manager's absence.

These positions are competitively remunerated. We have flexibility with full-time & part-time positions available. Working on weekends is non-negotiable.

Requirements

These are senior positions, and requires candidates to:

• Be at least 20 years of age
• Have at least one year of Duty Managers' experience or a relevant qualification
• Have at least two years of bartending / waiting experience or a relevant qualification
• Have the desire to up-skill & progress their career in hospitality.
• Have excellent personal presentation
• Have the willingness to work and lead from the front within the business
• A passion for customer service
• A desire to be part of an award-winning hospitality group
• A friendly, positive & warm personality that contributes positively to guest experiences
• A willingness to learn, adapt, and grow
• Excellent communication & punctuality
• Duty Manager's certificate
