Contract: 2 years fixed-term, part-time (20 hours per week)

About the Role
In this role, you will support the Director of Clinical Training to coordinate and deliver training, monitor and evaluate programme effectiveness, and provide general liaison on all issues relating to Resident Medical Officer (RMO) education/training.
Some of your duties will include:
- Supporting participants in the programme to become equipped to work in the New Zealand healthcare system, promoting resilience and empathetic healthcare practices
- Creating a well-supported education and working environment for New Zealand Registration Examination (NZREX) doctors, providing pathways for both their careers and wellbeing
- Working closely with supervisors overseeing participants in the programme to ensure service needs and clinical expectations are being met
- Assisting in the development and facilitation of training programmes to build a positive, cooperative learning environment amongst all stakeholders involved.
The salary range for this role is $75,201 - $78,358 pro-rata.
About the Team/Service Location
The NZREX Clinical Primary Care Pathway to Registration Programme has been introduced to enable overseas-trained doctors to undertake prevocational training in primary care settings over 2025 and 2026. Reporting to the Director of Clinical Training this role will work closely with all staff in the RMO Unit located at our Wellington and Hutt Valley offices.Our team has shared responsibility for ensuring Wellington, Kenepuru and Hutt Valley are effective teaching hospitals, building a learning community to improve patient care and inspire doctors to become lifelong learners.
About you
Essential skills and experience you will need to be considered for this role:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in a health-related field
- Previous experience (minimum 3 years) working in medical education e.g. previous program coordination, project management and continuous quality improvement.
- A passion for designing and completing projects that meet strategic objectives and are of high quality.
- Proven ability to be outcome focused and able to prioritise, set goals and achieve results
- Strong administrative skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, video conferencing (e.g. MS Teams, Zoom) and databases.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information and concepts to a range of audiences
- Experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action
- Able to use data and information to clearly define the project scope and develop the evaluation framework
- Possess a current New Zealand full driver - s license.
