We are seeking a reliable and organised Fundraiser and Office Administrator to join our team on a permanent basis. This role is essential to the smooth running of our office and involves a variety of fundraising, administrative, clerical, and organisational tasks.

The successful candidate will support daily operations, manage communications, and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

This role is primarily focused on fundraising, where you will be the driving force behind engaging supporters, building relationships, and generating vital income to fuel our mission. Alongside this, you will take on office administration duties that keep our day-to-day operations running smoothly.

Primary Responsibilities: Fundraising

  • Make purposeful outbound cold calls and follow-up calls to potential and existing donors, inviting them to support our work.
  • Manage relationships, provide information, and negotiate contracts as required.
  • Build and nurture relationships with community partners and organisations to promote our projects and fundraising campaigns.
  • Prepare and send thoughtful and respectful emails to supporters, providing important information about our projects and ways to contribute.
  • Maintain accurate records of donor communications and fundraising activities to track progress and celebrate successes.
  • Support miscellaneous fundraising initiatives that help broaden our reach and impact.
Secondary Responsibilities: Office Administration
  • Manage inbound and outbound calls, providing a friendly and professional first point of contact for the Trust.
  • Handle general office communications, ensuring timely responses.
  • Perform routine office tasks such as filing, data entry, and scheduling.
Skills and Experience
  • 2-3 years’ combined experience in both fundraising and office administration roles
  • Proven experience or comfort with cold calling and donor engagement, with a warm and professional telephone manner.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to craft clear and engaging messages.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and willing to learn donor database systems.
  • A genuine passion for supporting people with vision impairment and commitment to our mission.
