About the Role You will be working in maternity to provide specialist breastfeeding support to parents and babies in the postnatal ward and birthing suite as well as teaching staff about breastfeeding and supporting outpatient appointments. About the Team/Service Location Our close-knit team of Lactation Consultants work together to optimise the breastfeeding support in the postnatal ward and birthing suite.
They will advise breastfeeding parents on best practice when issues arise. Lactation troubleshooting may include, initiating breastfeeding successfully or low milk supply, to more complex issues such as thrush, mastitis and reduced tongue function.
Our friendly team communicate well to meet the needs of our inpatient breastfeeding parents.
