Registered Nurse Endoscopy/Medical Day Stay

About the Role

As a registered nurse in the Gastroenterology/Endoscopy service you will be part of a dynamic team providing comprehensive care to patients who journey through our Gastroenterology service. This includes working in the endoscopy procedure room and recovery area as well as undertaking procedure pre assessments.

As we offer a comprehensive out of hour's service our RN's are required to participate on an on call roster. We are co-located with Medical Day Stay and share a staffing model therefore the Registered nurse will be required to work across both Endoscopy and the Medical Day Stay Unit where we deliver a range of infusions for patients with acute and long term conditions.

About the Team/Service Location

We are a small but growing team of 7 Gastroenterologists, a nurse practitioner/nurse endoscopist and several specialty clinical nurses. We provide both inpatient and outpatient care and perform a range of diagnostic, interventional and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.

In Medical Day Stay our nursing team provide a high quality infusion service to the patients living in our community and district

About you

We are looking for a Registered nurse who has experience working in the NZ health care setting and has relevant nursing skills. Endoscopy experience would be an advantage along with the ability to be available to work on an on-call roster out of hours.

The successful candidate must have a can do attitude, be flexible and also be committed to developing and maintaining relevant specialist knowledge.
