You will also support workforce planning, professional development, induction processes, and succession planning to ensure the region has the capability and capacity to meet current and future delivery demands.You will apply structure change management approaches to support teams through operational and project-related change.You'll work closely with delivery teams, regional leaders, and key stakeholders to identify opportunities, streamline systems, strengthen project capability, and support successful delivery of operational and strategic priorities.This role is central to ensuring our region continues to deliver safe, effective and equitable health services and that our people are supported, skilled, and set up for success.This role reports to the Regional Group Manager Delivery.About the Team/Service/ LocationThe IIG Central team are focused on delivering high impact infrastructure investments that support the transformation of New Zealand's health system within region and with alignment across the motu.You will lead the project support function within this team, working closely with Project and Programme Coordinators and the Reigonal Group Manager Delivery.Giving support, oversight and assurance across projects and programmes, the team understand that safe, fit for purpose health facilities, sites and equipment are essential for a well-functioning health system that improves the health of all New Zealanders.About youYou're a proactive, people-centred leader who thrives in dynamic and complex environments and is committed to developing others.

You understand that how you lead is just as important as what you deliver and you take pride in fostering a collaborative, inclusive and purpose-driven workplace.You will bring:A relevant graduate qualification in business, project management or change management — or significant relevant experience.Demonstrated experience implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action.Strong experience in leadership, business improvement, project delivery and change management in a complex, dynamic environment.Excellent relationship‑building and stakeholder engagement skills.Strong understanding of the New Zealand health sector or similar government agency.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including reporting.Experience anticipating resource needs, planning for workforce capacity, and supporting succession planning.Experience in capability development, training design or supporting professional development.Experience supporting or delivering change management interventions.Experience contributing to or leading induction and onboarding processes.Working for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
