About the role
You’ll be responsible for delivering steel, stainless steel, coil, and aluminium products across the region while ensuring excellent customer service. This role also includes general warehouse support.
What You’ll Be Doing- Safely operate a Class 4 flat deck truck for regional deliveries
- Load, restrain, transport and unload metal products in accordance with NZ road and safety regulations
- Deliver customer orders accurately, on time, and in full
- Use forklifts and overhead lifting equipment to move stock (where certified)
- Pick, pack and dispatch orders to required specifications
- Complete delivery documentation and enter job details into internal systems
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment
- Work collaboratively with warehouse and operations teams to meet dispatch deadlines
- Hours of work: Monday to Friday 7.30am to 4pm.
- Full Class 4 licence with a clean driving record (essential)
- Forklift licence with practical experience
- Experience handling steel or heavy industrial products (preferred)
- Physically fit and comfortable with regular lifting
- Strong understanding of health and safety practices in transport and warehousing
- Reliable, proactive, and a strong team player with a great work ethic
- Basic computer skills for stock and job tracking
