Gelato Chef & Store Manager

The primary purpose of this position is to manage kitchen operations, make artisan gelato, bake cookies and cakes as required, train and supervise casual workers and to manage the store, and maintain a welcoming, friendly and well functioning work environment.
As Gelato Chef and Store Manager you have a good understanding of the day-to-day kitchen and store operations and have at least three years experience in kitchen operations and food presentation. Introduction to our food items and some training provided although we expect the applicant to have a good understanding of ingredients and food hygiene regulations.A proven track record of kitchen work is required. First Aid and/ or HACCP certification an advantage. Hours and pay rate to be negotiated and subject to level of experience.
