Independent Contractor – Account Manager
Coffix is a fast-growing New Zealand coffee brand – known for fair prices, great quality, and strong values. We’re looking for an experienced Independent Contractor to support our franchise network as an Account Manager.
This role is flexible, exciting, and suited to someone who loves coffee and understands how to keep a coffee business performing at its best.
The Role
As an Account Manager, you’ll partner with Coffix HQ to maintain high standards across our network. You’ll work around 15–25 hours per week (approx. 5 hours per day), visiting stores, coaching franchisees, developing ideas and making sure our compliance standards are consistently applied.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular site visits to franchise stores across Auckland (plus Hamilton & Tauranga as required) to support stores and verify compliance with Coffix standards.
- Provide training and coaching to store teams on coffee quality, food handling, and customer service.
- Assist with new store openings, training programmes, and brand refreshes.
- Review and report on store performance using Coffix reporting systems (site visit reports, MPI verification schedules, sales analysis, mystery shopper reports).
- Build strong franchisee relationships while ensuring accountability and consistency.
- Work closely with the GM to evolve Coffix store standards and create opportunities for growth.
- Strong knowledge of coffee – ideally with barista or café management experience.
- Understanding of the hospitality/coffee business and franchise operations.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to enforce standards firmly but fairly.
- Self-managed and organised, able to work independently as a contractor.
- Flexibility to travel when needed (Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga).
What We Offer
$30–$35 per hour + expenses, based on experience.
Flexible contractor schedule – approx. 15–25 hours per week.
