Job Summary:

We are looking for a Fast-Food Manager to come and join our Fast-food chain in Christchurch. This is full-time role, and we offer a minimum of 30 hours per week, with a maximum of up to 50 hours. The pay rate for this job is between $30 and $34, depending on experience.

The Fast-Food Manager is responsible for the effective management of restaurant operations, including staff supervision, customer service standards, food quality, and cleanliness. The Manager ensures that all operational tasks are completed to a high standard while leading the team to provide a positive and efficient customer service experience.

Job Description:

The tasks you will do:

  • Oversee all daily restaurant operations, including front-of-house service, staffing, kitchen coordination, and workflow
  • Take full accountability for business performance, profitability, and growth outcomes
  • Exercise independent authority to plan, develop, and update menus, including introducing new products and seasonal offerings
  • Hold decision-making responsibility for pricing strategies, promotions, and cost control to ensure commercial viability
  • Manage product mix, purchasing, and stock levels to ensure efficient operations and minimise waste
  • Develop and implement marketing and promotional initiatives to attract and retain customers
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, sales, wages, and financial transactions, and manage operational budgets
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and roster staff to ensure high performance and consistent service standards
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and occupational health and safety regulations.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in hospitality management, or a Diploma in Management, or a bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • A customer-focused mindset with the ability to resolve issues professionally
  • Solid understanding of stock control, budgeting, and compliance requirements
  • Passion for food quality, innovation, and business growth
