Site Manager
This role is to provide successful leadership of our Christchurch Manufacturing sites in Hornby at Canada Crescent and Waterloo Road. To achieve the production purpose by managing labour resources onsite, as well as working alongside support people and suppliers to produce high quality precast products, manufactured to the required quality standards, on time, and to the planned cost or better.
Key Responsibilities- Providing leadership to the team setting the standard for professional behaviour and leading by example
- Ensuring that daily production meets scheduled requirements for customers in terms of quality, quantity and delivery
- Providing technical support on concrete and other products across the business
- Understanding and ownership of the P&Ls of both manufacturing sites
- Overseeing Site developments and improvements
- Providing safety leadership on site in leading by example
- Working alongside the production team members in the production process when required
- Inspires others by setting and clearly communicating strategy to drive team members to achieve personal and team objectives
- Allocates resources and delegates tasks and projects in a way that supports and stretches team members to achieve desired individual and team outcomes
- In depth technical knowledge of pre-cast manufacturing is essential
- At least 5 years of experience in the manufacture and use of civil products required
- Full understanding of the value of our engineered solutions package, associated products and solutions
- Will have a good working knowledge of quality frameworks and systems
- Excellent customer service skills are paramount to ensure that strong internal and external customer relationships are maintained
