Senior Systems Engineer – Hamilton
- Contract Type: 6-month fixed-term with a competitive salary
- OR 6-month contract starting ASAP
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly Azure, and be capable of managing a wide range of enterprise IT and cloud solutions to support our business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage Azure cloud solutions
- Lead cloud adoption initiatives using the Cloud Adoption Framework
- Develop and manage Hub/Spoke network architectures
- Facilitate seamless Azure migrations for applications and data
- Manage Azure Virtual Desktop environments and Gold Images
- Oversee Azure Storage solutions, including Files & Blob storage, Cloud Tiering (Sync), and Backup
- Monitor and optimize Azure costs and billing
- Manage EntraID for identity and access management
- Support enterprise applications and ensure their efficient operation
- Implement Conditional Access policies to secure resources
- Administer core IT infrastructure and Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint)
- Maintain security posture using Secure Score and Defender across platforms
- Manage Microsoft Modern Workspace solutions, including Intune and Autopilot
- Oversee application packaging, GPOs, security baselines, and Windows 11 deployment
Skills & Experience:
- Proven hands-on experience with Azure services and cloud migrations
- Strong understanding of network architecture, especially Hub/Spoke models
- Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop and Gold Images
- Knowledge of storage management and Azure cost optimization
- Skilled in identity management systems (EntraID) and security controls
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Suite, Endpoint management, and security tools
- Proficiency in application packaging, Group Policy, security baselines, and Windows OS deployment
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
