Computer Aid is a leading provider of managed services and on-demand support to a diverse client base, ranging from small to medium businesses in the Waipa region and across New Zealand. We are seeking a skilled Intermediate Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team.
This role involves planning, implementing, and maintaining SME networks and infrastructure, as well as providing technical support and customer service.
We're looking for someone motivated and enthusiastic about providing excellent IT solutions to our clients to join our small team. This role is predominantly office based so you must be able to travel to Te Awamutu. A work vehicle may be provided to the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage client interactions successfully.
- Participate in and manage the sales process with clients.
- Build relationships based on 'trusted partner' principles.
- Provide mid to senior-level technical support with a focus on commercial and 'scaled' customers.
- Install, configure, test, and maintain hardware and software, including operating systems and application software.
- Ensure maximum system availability and security.
- Assist with system design and support.
- Undertake IT audits and provide on-site training to support customer technology implementation programs.
- Monitor installed systems and provide advice on risks and opportunities.
- Create and maintain customer asset records.
- Proven technical experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting IT systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and other cloud-based platforms.
- Experience with VoIP telephony system planning, deployment, and troubleshooting would be desirable.
- Knowledge of server (Windows and Linux based) planning and deployment.
- Strong network design and implementation skills would be desirable.
- Experience with Managed Print Services would be desirable.
- Excellent communication and relationship development skills.
- Ability to self-manage, work remotely, and help develop the client base.

- Relevant tertiary qualification and/or significant IT and software support experience.

- New Zealand Residency or current, valid New Zealand work permit.
