Systems Engineer – Heavy Vehicle & Equipment Integration

We’re a leading manufacturer of heavy trailers and truck bodies, also specialising in equipment attachments and vehicle safety/control systems. We’re looking for a Systems Engineer to join our growing team and take ownership of hydraulic and electrical systems across a range of custom-built vehicles and machinery.

The Role

• Designing and integrating electrical, hydraulic, and control systems
• Commissioning and testing systems on heavy trailers, truck bodies, and equipment
• Diagnosing faults and supporting service teams
• Collaborating with mechanical design, production, and procurement throughout the project lifecycle

• A degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
• 3+ years’ experience in a relevant field with experience in automation, control systems, and vehicle/equipment systems
• Working knowledge of hydraulic circuit design and vehicle wiring/electrical systems
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented attitude
• A hands-on approach and ability to work across design and field environments
• Experience with machine vision systems preferable
