Highwater Eatery is seeking a motivated Chef de Partie or Senior Chef de Partie to join our one-hatted kitchen on Cuba Street, Wellington.

This is a great opportunity to be part of a high-performing supportive team, working with outstanding local and seasonal produce in one of Wellington’s most respected dining rooms.

• Run your own section (pans or larder) with consistency and care
• Support the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations
• Maintain prep, cleanliness, and organisation of your section
• Uphold high standards of food safety and hygiene
• Work with the wider team to deliver simple, quality, technique-driven dishes

• 1–2+ years’ experience in a quality kitchen (Junior, Mid, or Senior CDP level)
• Strong modern cookery skills and willingness to learn
• Calm and reliable during service
• Great communication and a positive, team-focused attitude
• Passion for seasonal, local, high-quality ingredients
• Culinary qualification (NZQA Level 4) or equivalent experience
