Switchboard Builder

We are looking for an experienced switchboard builder to join the team at our Tauranga workshop. We will also consider applicants with less experience that are interested in learning on the job.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Assembly of metalwork, switchgear, and controls equipment.
• Working with our project manager and workshop manager to ensure boards are built to regulatory and customer requirements.

Desirable skills and experience:

• Reading and interpreting electrical and control drawings.
• Electrical wiring, fault finding and testing.
• Knowledge of Switchgear and CUBIC Switchboards
• Confidence using power tools in a workshop environment.

The successful candidates must:

• Have prior experience in a workshop environment or carrying out electrical installations
• Be energetic, enthusiastic, and a team player.
• Have a good eye for detail and take pride in a high standard of work.
• Be efficient and work with a safety focused mindset.
• A NZ electrical license is highly desirable but not essential.

This is a full time 40 hr per week role. Flexible start and finish times Mon-Fri.
