Head Teacher (BestStart Weymouth)

We're now looking for an experienced and passionate Head Teacher to lead our Infants team.
As Head Teacher, you will guide the daily curriculum and nurture respectful relationships with our youngest tamariki and their whanau. You'll inspire your team through collaborative planning and reflection, ensuring our infants receive the very best start to their learning journey.You'll also work closely with our Centre Manager and other Head Teachers to support centre-wide priorities and create a strong, united team.
Permanent, Full-time | 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday
Role requirements:
We're looking for a natural leader who shares our vision and values, with a passion for infant care and learning. You will bring:
- B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher registration/certification
- Strong understanding of programme planning, pedagogy, and curriculum
- Knowledge of ECE Regulations, Te Whariki, and a commitment to compliance
- A leadership style built on respectful relationships, teamwork, and growth
- Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on quality outcomes
