BestStart has a range of Head Teacher opportunities across Auckland, in both under-2 and over-2 environments. Each centre has its own personality, shaped by its team and local community, but all share a commitment to nurturing calm, connected spaces where tamariki flourish and Kaiako are supported to reach their full potential and chase their dreams!.
Full-time | 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday
What You'll Do:
- Lead curriculum design, planning, and reflective practice
- Build warm, respectful relationships with tamariki, whanau, and your team
- Mentor and support Kaiako, growing capability and confidence
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and care
- Champion your room's vision and values while aligning with BestStart's philosophy
What You'll Bring:
- A Level 7 ECE or Primary teaching qualification and full certification
- Experience leading or mentoring a team – or the readiness to step up
- A collaborative, heart-led approach to leadership
- Strong understanding of child development and learning
