5 Cook/ Baker available positions

We are seeking five experienced Cook/Baker to join our Henderson bakery shop and mobile food truck operating at day and night markets across the Auckland region.

This is a full-time role in a fast-paced commercial kitchen preparing authentic Filipino cuisine and traditional Filipino breads. Due to the specialist nature of our menu, applicants must have proven experience and knowledge of traditional Filipino cooking and baking methods.

• $25–$30 per hour (based on experience)
• Minimum 30 hours per week (overtime available)
• Rostered shifts including weekends
• Bakery shifts: 3:00am–12:00pm (Henderson)
• Food truck shifts: 12:00pm–12:00am (Auckland markets)

• Prepare and cook authentic Filipino dishes in a high-volume environment
• Bake traditional Filipino breads including pandesal, ensaymada, pan de coco, spanish bread, cheese rolls, hopia, monay, and kababayan
• Apply traditional Filipino baking methods, including dough preparation, fermentation, shaping, and baking techniques
• Prepare cakes, buns, rolls, and pastry products
• Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control
• Operate ovens and cooking equipment and monitor temperatures
• Store food safely and comply with food safety and hygiene standards
• Stock control, ordering supplies, cleaning, and general kitchen duties
• POS operation and customer service as required

• Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience as a Cook and/or Baker in a commercial kitchen, performing duties similar to those listed above.
• Demonstrated experience in a commercial kitchen specialising in Filipino cuisine
• Must know traditional Filipino cooking and baking methods
• Knowledge of Filipino dishes such as Filipino BBQ, chicken inasal, pares, lomi, and bulalo
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet production demands
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and in a team
• Flexible availability including weekends and public holidays
