Baker
Our Client, based in Otahuhu, is looking for enthusiastic, experienced Cake Bakers.
Multiple positions available
The primary role is the day-to-day running of the bakery department, ensuring that a sufficient amount of high-quality, freshly baked Pastries and cakes are available.
Minimum 2 years of previous baking experience in a bakery, OR Relevant Trade Qualification.
Salary $25.50-$29.50 Depending on Experience
This is a permanent position, minimum 32 hours per week (extra hours may be required based on production up to 45 per week ), shift work starts 3 00 AM in the morning.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Preparing frozen products for baking.
- Mixing and baking require daily levels of all bakery products.
- Baking requires daily levels of Cakes and other products.
- Preparing and making Sandwiches.
- Assembling sandwiches using breads, meats, cheeses, vegetables and other products according to customer orders.
- Responsible for the operation of the pastry/ Bakery section of the kitchen, including
- Producing other bakery-specific products as required
- Other tasks across the store as required.
- Ensure that recipes and proportions are strictly adhered to to ensure consistency, quality, and cost control.
- Order and maintain inventory for the pastry/ Bakery section to ensure efficient operations.
- Any other duties the Executive Baker/ Head Chef or Baker may reasonably require.
