We are currently seeking a Coordinator - Cruise & Marine Operations to join our Marine Services team in a fast-paced and dynamic operational environment.

This role is critical in supporting the delivery of cruise operations through professional marine and cruise coordination, operational planning, multi-agency stakeholder liaison, and commercial and compliance activities.

About the Role

Reporting to the Manager Cruise Operations, this role is responsible for coordinating cruise vessel visits, supporting marine operational teams, managing administration requirements, and ensuring invoicing and reporting are completed accurately and on time.

During cruise season (late October to April), flexibility is required to work early mornings and some weekends. Outside of season, standard business hours generally apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate planning and operational requirements for cruise vessel visits
  • Attend planning meetings and action visit-specific requirements
  • Liaise with shipping agents, Customs, MPI, transport providers, security providers and other stakeholders
  • Coordinate resourcing including security, traffic management, baggage screening and passenger flow requirements
  • Support safe operational delivery and health & safety compliance
  • Maintain operational procedures and documentation
  • Complete vessel visit invoicing within required timeframes
  • Support purchasing and procurement activities for Marine Services
  • Manage procurement and supply coordination for marine operational equipment and PPE in line with operational and health & safety requirements
  • Prepare operational and performance reports, and provide coordination and commercial support to marine leadership to enable effective decision-making.

Skills & Experience Required

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring: Essential

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in marine services, port operations, cruise terminal operations, shipping logistics or a similar operational environment
  • Previous experience working within a port or maritime environment
  • Demonstrated experience in operational coordination, including planning, scheduling, and managing multiple operational inputs in a time-critical environment.
  • Ability to interpret and apply operational procedures, regulatory requirements, and port or maritime compliance standards.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Highly Desirable
  • Previous experience working in a cruise terminal environment
  • Experience with port, marine or logistics systems
  • Experience coordinating activities involving regulatory agencies such as Customs, MPI, or Port Authorities.
  • Understanding of vessel scheduling, landside operations or marine coordination
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in business, management, logistics or maritime studies

Salary

This role offers a salary of $83,500 per annum, reflecting the professional coordination, stakeholder engagement, and operational responsibilities of the position, depending on skills and experience.
