We are looking for an enthusiastic **Cook** to work at our site at **NZDF-Ohakea**. Hours of work are **Permanent Full-Time**.

This busy diverse Airforce Base is the Hub of the air wing in New Zealand and offers a unique chance and insight into the military world of Officer and senior/junior ranks training.

Come work in one of NZ's **top outdoor regions Manawatu / Ruapehu** - Home to Tongariro National Park and Whanganui National Park and two New Zealand Great Walks, Fishing beaches, there's plenty to see and do in in this area all year-round.

**Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:**

• The preparation, cooking, and presenting of food.
• Following recipes and menus as per company standard whilst taking ownership and pride in customer favourite dishes.
• Help prepare on-site functions when required.
• In addition, you will be responsible for receiving and storing kitchen supplies, adhere and be a Site Champion of our Food Audit and Safety Applications and maintaining the consumer's satisfaction - this role is all go!
• **He korero mou / About you:**

• You will be hard working, with a friendly outgoing personality and a 'can do' attitude.
• You will already have some experience working in a commercial kitchen producing high quality food and ideally you will hold food safety certificates (Unit Standard 167 and 168), or be happy to train for one.
• A passion for baking and good quality Cafe food is a real bonus.
• You will need to have the ability to work independently and in team.
• Most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.
• You will need full drivers licence for this role.
