We're looking for a skilled Fitter to join our dynamic team working in a busy airport environment. You'll be responsible for both scheduled and reactive maintenance, helping to ensure everything runs smoothly and safely behind the scenes.
What you'll be doing | Nga Kawenga Takohanga- Carrying out general maintenance and engineering tasks to a high standard
- Scheduling your work around aircraft movements
- Using IT systems to manage terminal duties
- Ordering supplies and materials as needed
- Ensuring tasks are completed on time and to contract specs, within budget.
- Complying with all Citycare policies and procedures
- Working professionally with clients and the public
- Always keeping health and safety top of mind
- Reporting issues to your supervisor promptly
- Participating in a rotating on-call roster (1 week in every 4)
- Five years working in general engineering.
- Trade certificate in an engineering trade.
- A natural communicator who knows how to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and get things done.
- Experience in welding, fabrication and Sheetmetal work.
- A problem-solver who loves rolling up your sleeves and coming up with practical solutions that deliver value.
- An expert in Health & Safety - you understand the importance of mitigating risks and keeping everyone safe.
