With a reputation for quality workmanship, safety, and precision engineering, we are seeking a skilled and motivated maintenance fitter to support our Engineering team and help drive operational excellence.
The Role
As the Maintenance fitter–welder–fabricator, you will be a part of our Engineering/site team, ensuring smooth daily operations and maintaining production. You will play a key role in maintaining high-quality fabrication standards, upholding safety protocols, and helping to optimise engineering and site efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Base roll- Assisting with supporting our clients on site with daily routine maintenance
- Ensure compliance with Client and Taurus health, & safety, requirements and quality control standards
- Availability for weekend on call work with 24 support for maintenance if required (rotating roster generally once a month)
- Availability to do overtime on short notice when required
- Secondary roll- Workshop fabrication, welding, and assembly processes to ensure quality and accuracy, Both SS and MS is available depending on candidate background
- Provide hands-on technical support when required (fabrication, welding, fitting)
- Proven +5 years of experience in either mechanical or maintenance roll,
- Experience in following permitting operations and firm health and safety policy’s
- Reasonable knowledge of either SS or MS fabrication, welding, and engineering practices
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications
- Strong team communication skills
- Excellent organisational skill and ability to get engagement from the whole team and embrace our team's culture
- confident with confined space or working at heights (if required)
- Good Initiative and problem-solving skills
- A commitment to safety and quality standards
- Trade qualification as either Maintenance Fitter/ fabricator welder
- Forklift, overhead crane, or rigging certifications (advantageous)
- Previously held any EWP, confined space, or working at height tickets.
