We are looking for an experienced Fitter Welder to join a local engineering firm. This company specialise in heavy fabrication for the industrial sector and work such as bulk transport and saw milling equipment. They complete all fabrication and fitting in their new workshop based in the North of Christchurch.
Key tasks:- Read and understand all drawings
- Heavy fabrication
- Heavy mechanical fitting
- MIG Flux Core and Stick welding - FCAW & SMAW
- Working to tight deadlines
- Minimum 3 year's experience in a similar role.
- Be a competent Heavy Fabricator or Fitter Welder
- Ability to work unsupervised and complete a task from start to finish alone
- Ability to fabricate accurately from technical drawings
- A strong commitment to Health & Safety
