Espresso Bar All-Rounder – Hawthorne Coffee Roasters
We’re looking for a full-time team member to join the crew at our award-winning Espresso Bar and Roastery in the heart of Havelock North.
If you’re passionate about coffee, love working with people, and feel at home in a busy, high-energy environment, this could be the perfect fit. You’ll be using top gear (La Marzocco, Mazzer, Puqpress), so it’s important you’ve got a solid grasp of brew ratios, and extraction techniques.Attention to detail and consistency really matter to us.
This role isn’t just about making great coffee—it’s about creating a warm, welcoming experience for our regulars (and new faces too). You’ll play a big part in keeping our high standards up, jumping in to help wherever needed, and offering support to newer team members during the rush.You might also help out in the roastery now and then, bagging coffee and lending a hand behind the scenes.
We’re looking for someone who:- Has strong barista skills and knows their way around espresso machines
- Communicates well and works easily with others
- Stays cool and positive when things get busy
- Leads by example and brings good energy to the team
- Able to work Saturday's and rostered Sunday markets (we don't open on public holidays).
