- $110,210, dependant on experience This role is based primarily in our Neurosciences Unit (7S) at Wellington Regional Hospital.
7S is a 25 bedded unit providing care to patients with neurological conditions, stroke and pre and post neurosurgery.
The clinical caseload will cover patients on 7S and provide specialist knowledge to the wider team, as well as working across the team to support the acute inpatient caseload.The physiotherapy team on 7S includes experienced clinicians, a rotational physiotherapist and allied health assistants, alongside the wider MDT.
The position is part of our inpatient physiotherapy team at Wellington Regional Hospital, treating patients across all specialities at the hospital.
The role sits within our neuro/med/onc/ortho mini-team, consisting of advanced, experienced and rotational physiotherapists.
Cover will be required across the hospital as service need indicates.
This role also includes on call and weekend working commitments, covering Wellington Regional Hospital- adult and paediatric patients.
About the Team/Service Location The Wellington Physiotherapy Team work predominantly in the inpatient setting at Wellington Regional Hospital.

Minimum of 3 years post graduate experience, broad experience in acute specialities, with evidence of specific neurology or neurosurgical experience essentialNew Zealand Registered Physiotherapist with Annual Practicing Certificate.Able to share specialty clinical knowledge to physiotherapy, allied, nursing and medical teamsTeam player, able to work collaboratively across physiotherapy and the multidisciplinary team On call and weekend competencies and experience essentialWorking knowledge of quality improvement, a desire to contribute to the team, and a commitment to the best possible patient outcomes.Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth Working at Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is
