About the Role We are excited to offer the opportunity for an experienced Musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapist (PT) to join our team.
This position is primarily based in the therapies outpatients
  • facility at Hutt Hospital but may support colleagues by working on other sites as and when necessary to ensure equitable access to physiotherapy services across the region.

The physiotherapist in this role will assess and treat people with a variety of musculoskeletal conditions following injury, acute & elective surgery and those with progressive and chronic health conditions.

The role may include input into orthopaedic/fracture clinics and group classes.
The Physiotherapist will mentor and support rotational staff and undergraduate students to support the development of clinical skills, as well as supporting colleagues in other clinical areas as the need arises.

About the Team/Service Location The team includes Outpatient Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Hand therapy and Advanced clinical practise physiotherapists (ACPP) (Orthopaedics) working across the 4 primary Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley sites with some clinics in primary care/GP practises.

About you You will be an experienced & highly motivated MSK PT, ideally with experience in the public health system, who is knowledgeable in MSK assessment and treatment.

You will be keen to further develop your skills with potential career development into more advanced scope roles.

You will be a self-starter who can shift gears comfortably and can read situations quickly.

Registration with the New Zealand Physiotherapy BoardCurrent Annual Practicing certificate5 plus years
