Sushi Bi Group Wellington is looking for dedicated and passionate individuals to join our Catering Team in Wellington CBD. We are seeking team members who take pride in their work and are committed to delivering the high level of service Sushi Bi is known for.
Positions Available (Monday–Saturday)Sushi Chef Full-Time ( also Part-Time)
Minimum 30 hours per week

Hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Key Requirements
Proven experience as a chef in catering or event-based food service
Minimum three years experience in Japanese cuisine
Positive and professional attitude
Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and independently
Knowledge of Japanese culture, customs, and language is an advantage (supplier engagement)
Skills & Responsibilities
Preparation of sashimi and raw fish with strong knife skills
Precision cutting and creative presentation of sashimi
Assisting with catering menu planning and food/labour cost estimates
Ordering food supplies directly from suppliers
Monitoring and maintaining excellent food presentation standards
Liaising with the team and Head Chef regarding food preparation, hygiene, and safety
Ensuring the correct storage, freezing, and handling of raw fish and seafood in line with the Food Control Plan
Explaining and enforcing the Food Control Plan with staff members
Assisting with selecting and training new staff
