Location: 44 Manners street, Wellington, New ZealandEmployment type: Permanent, full-time
Hours: Minimum 30 - 40 hours per week (guaranteed)
Pay rate: $27 per hour (gross)

Key Duties and Responsibilities- Prepare and serve high-quality espresso-based beverages consistently
- Dial in espresso and adjust grinders throughout the trading day
- Monitor extraction quality, milk texture, and overall coffee consistency
- Produce professional-standard milk texturing and latte art
- Operate commercial coffee equipment independently during peak service periods
- Lead the coffee station during busy shifts and support smooth daily operations
- Support and train junior baristas to maintain consistent coffee standards
- Assist in developing and maintaining coffee preparation procedures
- Ensure daily cleaning and routine maintenance of coffee equipment
- Deliver professional and efficient customer service
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee workstation
- Comply with all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety requirements
- Work closely with management and front-of-house teams
- Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience as a Barista, including experience in a senior or lead role
- Advanced knowledge of espresso extraction, grinder calibration, and milk texturing
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in high-volume café environments
- Proven ability to train and support other baristas
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional approach to work
- Flexibility to work rostered shifts, including weekends and public holidays
