  1. Assistant Café Manager
About the role:

As Assistant Café Manager, you will support the Café Manager in the day-to-day operations of Peppermill Café, ensuring smooth service, high standards, and a positive team culture. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone ready to step up or already experienced in café management.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with daily café operations, opening and closing procedures

Lead, train, and motivate FOH and barista staff

Ensure exceptional customer service and handle customer feedback professionally

Manage staff rosters, breaks, and shift coverage

Maintain food safety, health & safety, and hygiene standards

Support stock control, ordering, and waste minimisation

Step in across FOH and barista roles as needed during busy periods

About you:

Previous experience as a supervisor, assistant manager, or senior café staff member

Strong leadership and communication skills

Calm under pressure with excellent problem-solving ability

Passion for hospitality and customer experience

Flexible availability, including weekends

About the role:

Our FOH team members are the face of Peppermill Café. You’ll deliver friendly, efficient service and help create a welcoming atmosphere for every customer.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet customers and take orders confidently

Deliver food and drinks promptly and accurately

Handle EFTPOS and cash transactions

Maintain a clean and organised dining and service area

Assist with opening and closing duties

Work closely with kitchen and barista teams during busy service

About you:

Previous café or hospitality experience essential

Friendly, outgoing, and customer-focused

Able to multitask and work well under pressure

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Reliable and well-presented

About the role:

We are looking for an experienced Barista who takes pride in consistently producing high-quality coffee and working efficiently in a high-volume café environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve high-quality espresso-based coffee and beverages

Maintain coffee machine and grinder cleanliness

Ensure consistency, speed, and presentation of drinks

Manage milk texturing and latte art to a high standard

Assist with stock levels and prep

Support FOH during busy periods when required

About you:

Proven barista experience in a busy café

Confident with espresso extraction and milk texturing

Passionate about coffee and quality

Able to work well under pressure

Team-oriented with a positive attitude
