This 1FTE, permanent role offersan exciting opportunity for a dedicated and motivated individual who is lookingto expand their career pathway and take on a clinical leadership role.
Predominantly working Monday to Friday dayshift though could be asked to cover other shifts as required.
This role sitsalongside the current CNS and CSWS.
The roles combined cover the day andafternoon shifts.With your proven ability to lead,you will be an expert at developing and extending nursing practice, assistingwith performance appraisals, auditing, quality improvement, and providingoverall clinical expertise and mentorship within the crisis resolution teams,enabling them to continue to deliver a high standard of care.Skills and Experience Experienced, Specialist Mental Health Nurse, minimum of three years of Mental Health Nursing, registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current APC
  • must include scope for Mental Health Nursing.Have an in-depth knowledge of the health sector and issues affecting tāngata whaiora andequality of healthcare.Adhereto guidelines of Cultural Safety and has experience in implementing the Te Tiritio Waitangi in practice.Motivated and flexible self-starter with the ability to work both in a team and autonomouslyExcellent communication, interpersonal and time management skillsExpert clinical nursing knowledge and leadership ability.Extensive experience working within mental health is essential
  • you will hold a relevant post graduate qualification or be working towards one.The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution focused.As a role model it is expected you will engage with nursing staff and members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team to ensure effective relationships are developed and maintained, therefore your integrity, excellent interpersonal skills, effective organisational and time management skills and clinical credibility are imperative to the success of this roleWorking at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuringexcellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
