The position is responsible for increasing the visibility of Pacific models of care and tracking progress against set targets through regional and national reporting.The role provides strategic and operational leadership to influence service delivery, programs, and investments that advance Pacific health priorities.

It serves as a key representative for Pacific health across the region, ensuring strong connections between Pacific communities, providers, and national health strategies.

By driving system change through data-informed, holistic planning, this position supports the shift towards family-centered healthcare models, ensuring Pacific voices shape the evolution of health system transformation.About the Team/Service/ LocationThis role sits within the Pacific Health Planning and Funding team at Health New Zealand, based in the Te Waipounamu Region.

The team is dedicated to improving health outcomes for Pacific communities through strategic planning, effective funding allocation, and strong partnerships with providers and stakeholders.
As part of this collaborative and impact-driven team, you will contribute to initiatives that support equitable access to healthcare and culturally responsive services.
Reporting to the National Director, Pacific Health, you will play a key role in shaping Pacific health strategies and ensuring that resources are directed where they are needed most.
