PA-JU F&B Ltd., a restaurant based in Whangarei, is seeking 2 cooks to join our kitchen team on a full-time permanent basis.
- Key Responsibilities
- Cooking foods
- Preparing sauces and selecting ingredients
- Storing food and maintaining supplies
- Monitoring and maintaining the levels of various stocks required
- Ensuring safety and sanitation practices in the kitchen
- Inspecting supplies, equipment, and work area to ensure conformance to established standards
- Examining food items to ensure freshness and quality
- Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment
- Portioning food and plating dishes to restaurant standards
- Skills and Experience Required
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience, or
- Diploma in Cookery, or a Bachelor's degree in any discipline
- Sound knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- What We Offer
- Employment type: Full-time, Permanent
- Pay rate: $25 per hour
- Hours of work: Minimum 30 hours, up to 40 hours per week
