Our Company

We are looking for responsible Cooks to help organize and run our Bar located in Kawakawa.

If you have worked in a busy or high-volume venue or have strong product knowledge, a genuine passion for the industry, and are career-driven with a desire to learn then this is the place for you.

You must be available on public holidays and weekends.

• Wages - $26-$32/hour
• Working Hours - Min 30 hrs/week

• Level 4- Trade Certificate or Diploma is required.
• OR at least one year of relevant experience is required.

• examining foodstuffs to ensure quality
• regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
• preparing and cooking food
• seasoning food during cooking
• portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
• storing food in temperature controlled facilities
• planning menus and estimating food requirements
• training and supervising other kitchen staff and apprentices
• checking food quality and maintaining it at all times
• storing and labelling food in fridges and chillers
• ordering required kitchen materials and maintaining records
• estimating weekly food requirements
• supervising and training other kitchen staff
• investigating customer complaints regarding food and discussing them with the manager
• ensuring kitchen waste is kept to a minimum
• ensuring workstations and kitchen equipment are clean, organised and sanitised
• maintaining personal hygiene standards at all times
• maintaining high standards of health and safety at all times
