- What you'll do This is a hands'on technical role at the frontline of medicines regulation, where your expertise directly protects public health.
You'll work with industry, travel to manufacturing sites, influence regulatory decisions, and provide trusted technical advice in a fast'moving, high'impact environment that balances rigour, judgement and collaboration Lead and deliver GMP audits of medicine manufacturing and packing sites in New Zealand and overseas, independently or as part of an audit team.Assess compliance and drive regulatory decisions, evaluating audit findings, corrective actions and making recommendations on licences, approvals and GMP certification.Be a trusted technical authority, providing clear GMP advice to industry, supporting regulatory decisions, and contributing to investigations and medicine recalls.Support continuous improvement and delivery, contributing to projects, process improvements and high'quality advice across the Directorate.Build strong relationships and work with integrity, collaborating across the Ministry and with external stakeholders while upholding equity priorities and Te Tiriti o Waitangi obligations.
Ko ngā pūkenga ōu- What you'll bringA tertiary qualification in a relevant field, for example a pharmacy qualification, or a science or engineering-based qualification.Hold a full New Zealand driver's license and be comfortable driving in different areas of New Zealand.Strong technical foundation with a relevant tertiary qualification and hands'on experience in medicines manufacturing and GMP environments.Proven quality and audit expertise, including experience working within pharmaceutical quality systems and contributing to, or leading, GMP audits.Clear and confident communicator able to engage effectively with industry, regulators and stakeholders across a range of technical and non'technical settings.Highly organised and detail'driven, with the judgement and foresight to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and handle sensitive information.Analytical and digitally capable, applying critical thinking, sound judgement and practical data skills (including Excel) to inform advice and decision Ngā hua o tō mātou whare
