Engineering Manager

This is a 'hands on' role based around maintaining and repairing the production plant and equipment and managing preventative maintenance and urgent breakdowns in order to reduce unplanned downtime. The role revolves around supporting all aspects of daily manufacturing operations to meet availability and fulfilment of stock requirements, including outsourced requirements from sub-contractors.

You will also be responsible for materials testing of inwards goods and outgoing manufactured product to ensure quality standards are upheld as well as assisting the design team with bringing new products to the market.

• Engineering qualifications or proven experience in installation and maintenance of plant and machinery
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior engineering management role within a manufacturing environment
• A "hands on" person with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyse issues and implement effective practical solutions
• Highly organised, with meticulous record keeping and a high level of communication skills both oral and written.
• A sound understanding of Health & Safety legislation (e.g. Health and Safety at Work Act 2015) including compliance with ISO 9001 quality management systems and product certifications
