Engineering Manager

We're looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager to keep our innovative nursery facility running at its best. Based in Clevedon, you'll lead a small team while overseeing all plant, machinery and infrastructure to ensure smooth operations 24/7.
This position would suit a qualified engineer, with relevant practical experience managing inhouse functions in a manufacturing environment. You will be confident in leading projects and working with external contractors to deliver on time and on budget.This hands-on role will have you working alongside your team to deliver excellence and support to our operation. What you will be doing:
- Keep our water systems, boiler, PRIVA climate controls, and security systems operating smoothly
- Lead and deliver projects on time and within budget, working with contractors as needed
- Manage and support a maintenance team of four
- Ensure preventative maintenance and compliance testing are completed
- Be hands-on in supporting our 24/7 nursery operation

Sounds good so far, here's what we need:
- Engineering Apprenticeship (Fitter & Turner, Fitter or Toolmaker) preferably with advanced trade and NZCE level 5 or equivalent
- 4-5 years' practical Engineering in-house experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure
- Flexibility to be on-call for weekends
- Keen to work extra hours during peak season (Sept-Dec)
