Cook/Chef

As a Cook at The Beached Whale Restaurant and Bar, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen. We are looking for someone who is passionate about cooking, able to help out in all areas of the kitchen, has a keen eye for detail, and is capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Prepare and cook meals to our established recipes and standards.
• Manage and maintain your area of the kitchen, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
• Ensure the quality and consistency of every meal served
• Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
• Assist with inventory management and restocking as needed.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service.
• Provide excellent customer service by accommodating special requests and handling any issues that arise.
• Minimum 30 hours per week
• Rostered hours include weekend and evening work

• At least three (3) years’ experience as a Cook in a similar kitchen role
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a high-energy environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication, positive attitude and teamwork skills.

• Competitive pay based on experience - $25-$30 per hour depending on experience.
