Pact is seeking a Youth Community Support Worker to join our West Coast team!

About Pact:

At Pact, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live a meaningful, connected life.

We are a leading provider of community, vocational, and residential support across New Zealand. We support people with intellectual disabilities, mental health and addiction challenges, and young people, to reach their goals and build independence.

Our passionate team walks alongside individuals, empowering them to thrive in a safe, positive, and inclusive environment.

About the Role

Are you looking for a fun, rewarding, and meaningful role that also offers an outstanding work-life balance? This could be the perfect opportunity for you.

We’re currently seeking a compassionate and motivated individual to provide 1:1 support to a young person in a bespoke youth residential setting. You'll be working alongside them to build a safe, positive, and inclusive environment where they can truly thrive.

The young person enjoys spending time outdoors—gardening, fishing, biking—as well as building/DIY projects, cooking, and caring for animals. If you share some of these interests or are excited to support someone in theirs, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll bring

Our West Coast team is looking for someone with:

A love for the outdoors and someone physically fit
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
A positive and proactive attitude with a calm approach in challenging situations
A genuine passion for helping others grow and succeed
A full driver’s licence and basic computer skills
A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 4 Mental Health) — or willingness to work toward one once you’re on board

The right to work in New Zealand

What will Pact offer you?

At Pact, you’ll be part of a supportive, down-to-earth team that cares equally about our staff as we do the people we support. We offer you:

In-house training to ensure you have the skills and knowledge to best support our clients
$26.80 - $31.47 per hour based on qualification
Celebrate your milestones with Long Service benefits
Encouragement and support to achieve the NZQA Level 4 Qualification
Free Employee Assistance if you require additional, confidential support

Watch people grow and blossom whilst celebrating every achievement

Visit our website About Us - Pact Group to find out more about the amazing work Pact does and/or submit your CV today and join us in empowering people in our community to live life to the fullest.

Please do not apply unless you have the right to work in New Zealand as we are unable to help with visa sponsorship.
