Accounts Payable Officer
Fletcher Construction is seeking a talented and experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our team for Te Wai Takamori o Te Awa Kairangi (Te Awa Kairangi).
About the Role
This is a fast-paced, high-volume role where you'll be processing around 1,000 invoices per month. You'll work closely with a wide range of stakeholders including construction teams, supervisors, engineers, and contractors. You'll play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy and efficiency across the project, supporting both the commercial and finance teams.
- Process and manage purchase orders and supplier invoices using JDE
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice queries promptly
- Ensure compliance with procurement and payment procedures
- Provide accounting support to the Project Accountant and Finance Manager
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow paperless desk policies
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Proven experience in accounts payable, ideally in a high volume environment
- Proficiency in JDE or similar ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- A proactive, team-oriented approach with great communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
About Te Awa Kairangi
Te Awa Kairangi Alliance is delivering transport, walking and cycling improvements to the SH2 Melling interchange and rail station, as part of a wider flood protection and city revitalisation programme.
Fletcher Construction is working with Alliance partners AECOM, NZTA, Taranaki Whanui and Ngati Toa Rangatira to deliver this transformative project. Design is underway and construction is due to commence in late 2025.
