About the Role
Ward 6 at North Shore Hospital are looking for a Ward Clerk to join their team. As the front-line point of contact on the ward, you will assist with clerical, reception, and operational duties to ensure the ward runs smoothly. This role involves working with a diverse range of patients in a busy healthcare environment.As many patients may require additional support, you will play a key role in providing reassurance, guidance, and clear direction at reception. Ward clerks are often the first point of contact and are responsible for redirecting patients as needed, as well as offering a welcoming, supportive experience.
Strong communication skills, patience, and a compassionate approach are essential. This is a fixed term position for up to 4 months, working part time Mondays and Tuesdays.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have the below:
Experience in customer service and reception dutiesExcellent telephone manner
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Computer and data entry skills
Experience in filing and document management
