We are a family-owned and operated restaurant, proudly serving authentic Indian cuisine. As we continue to grow, we are seeking passionate and experienced Indian Chefs to join our team.
We are looking for 1 skilled Indian curry & Tandoor chef who specialize in both curry and tandoor cooking. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of traditional Indian cooking techniques and be able to prepare a variety of flavorful curries, naan breads and tandoori specialties.
You will work closely with our kitchen team to ensure consistency, quality, and timely delivery of meals, maintaining the high standards our customers expect. You will be rostered from Monday to Sunday.- Cooking and preparation of all North and South Indian dishes listed on the menu. Recognition of meat cuts, trimming, preparation, cooking, presentation, and overall excellent cooking ability.
- Managing various sections of the kitchen, ensuring food is prepared according to the restaurant’s specifications, general cleaning and other related tasks as directed, and assuring that the kitchen is kept clean at all times.
- Ensure food is prepared within reasonably good time.
- Able to work on both stove (curry dishes) and tandoor, includes Starters, Salads, and Desserts.
- Training junior kitchen staff as needed.
- Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety as per New Zealand Food and Safety regulations.
- stock levels and ordering supplies.
- Enhancing/changing dishes to meet guest’s needs as required and helping the menu planning, when require.
- Minimum of 05 years’ experience in the Indian Cuisine.
- In-depth knowledge of Indian spices, flavors, and traditional cooking techniques.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, ensuring efficient kitchen operations.
