Select Electrical and Security is seeking a motivated and capable individual to join our team in a full-time role
We're flexible in who we take on — this position would suit:
- A qualified tradesman with strong HVAC experience, or
- An experienced HVAC installer who’s interested in expanding into the electrical trade, or
- A fourth-year electrical apprentice with hands-on HVAC experience
You’ll be part of a team that values high-quality workmanship, a supportive environment, and a varied workload across residential, commercial, and industrial sites throughout the Wellington region.
Key Responsibilities- Install, commission, and service a range of HVAC systems across residential, commercial, and industrial sites
- Diagnose and repair faults in HVAC systems and electrical components
- Carry out general electrical work as required, including installations, maintenance, and repair
- Work independently and as part of a team to complete projects to a high standard
- Ensure all work is compliant with relevant regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a professional and customer-focused attitude on-site
- Proven experience in HVAC installation, servicing, and diagnostics
- Confidence in performing general electrical work (qualified or working towards qualification)
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- New Zealand Electrical Registration is a bonus – or willingness to work towards it
- Full NZ Driver’s Licence
- Self-motivated, reliable, and committed to quality workmanship
