  • What you'll doAs the Manager, NZ Medical Assistance Team (NZMAT), you will guide a highly skilled team that provides vital medical support during emergencies, deployments, and high'pressure situations.

  • What you'll bringA relevant tertiary qualification and/or extensive experience in health, emergency management, or a related field.A solid understanding of emergency management and health system operations, with the ability to apply recognised planning tools and methodologies.Strong operational leadership capability, confident in managing both routine activities and high'pressure emergency response situations.Proven strategic planning and delivery experience, overseeing complex projects and programmes aligned to Ministry and Government priorities.A proactive, solutions'focused approach to risk, able to identify emerging issues early and implement effective mitigation strategies.Demonstrated ability to lead and grow high'performing teams, including talent development, succession planning, coaching, and navigating complexity and change with resilience.Ngā hua o tō mātou whare
