Position Overview:

We’re looking for experienced Drainlayers to join our team and contribute to a range of drainage installations across civil projects in the Waikato. This role offers long-term career potential within a growing company that values reliability, quality work, and professional development.

You’ll be part of a motivated crew, working alongside skilled operators, supervisors, and engineers in a supportive and well-equipped environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install stormwater and wastewater drainage systems
  • Lay PVC, PE, and concrete pipes to grade
  • Work in and around trench shields and live services
  • Operate machinery where required (excavators, rollers, loaders)
  • Read and interpret site plans and levels
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and productive work environment
Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in civil drainage, including stormwater and wastewater installations
  • Comfortable working in trench shields and confined environments
  • Ability to read plans, shoot levels, and follow technical instructions
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on mindset
  • Able to manage tasks independently while contributing to a team
  • Full New Zealand driver’s licence (Class 2 and WTR endorsements preferred)
  • Commitment to health and safety and maintaining a safe worksite
  • Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
