With a full pipeline of upcoming work, we’re expanding our team and looking for a skilled Drainlayer Foreman who can lead from the front, support their crew, and keep our projects running smoothly.

Position Overview

We’re looking for a Drainlayer Foreman to lead a crew delivering drainage installations across a variety of civil projects. This is a hands-on role that combines site leadership with practical drainage work. You’ll coordinate day-to-day site operations, ensure safety and quality standards are met, and contribute to a positive, high-performing team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a crew on stormwater and wastewater drainage installations
  • Coordinate daily site activities and workflow
  • Ensure work is completed to specification and safety standards
  • Support and guide team members on site
  • Communicate with engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors
  • Assist with plant operation and on-the-tools work as needed
  • Maintain site paperwork and participate in toolbox/pre-start meetings
  • Promote a positive and productive work environment
Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven drainlaying experience, including stormwater and wastewater systems
  • Experience leading or supervising teams on civil sites
  • Skilled in pipe laying (PVC, PE, concrete) and trench shield work
  • Ability to read plans and manage daily tasks
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Confident managing workflows and site coordination
  • Full NZ driver’s licence (Class 2 and WTR endorsements preferred)
  • Commitment to health and safety and maintaining a compliant worksite
  • Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
