We’re looking for a skilled Welder / Fabricator to join Fusion Engineering & Fabrication Ltd, a fast-growing Christchurch engineering company. We specialise in general engineering, fabrication, and onsite mechanical maintenance for a diverse range of clients.

The Role

You’ll be hands-on in the workshop and onsite, fabricating and welding a wide variety of projects. Work ranges from stainless and mild steel fabrication through to machinery installation and site maintenance. Some upcoming projects are overseas, so flexibility to travel is essential.

Key responsibilities:

• Fabricating and welding (MIG, TIG, stick) with a focus on stainless steel.
• Performing hygienic welding to a high standard (experience preferred).
• Reading and working from drawings.
• General engineering and mechanical maintenance tasks.
• Onsite fabrication and installation work, including overseas projects.
• Maintaining safe work practices at all times.

• Trade qualification in engineering/fabrication (or equivalent experience).
• Proven ability in stainless steel welding and fabrication (TIG/MIG/ARC).
• Hygienic welding experience highly regarded.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of jobs.
• Practical, solutions-focused approach on site.
• Current driver’s licence.
• Willingness to travel overseas for installation work.
